Job Description

The United States Department of Commerce is looking for a motivated and highly organized individual to join its team as a Research Program Specialist. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about conducting and managing research projects and has the qualifications necessary to excel in this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical, administrative, and program support for research initiatives and projects. They will be expected to have strong analytical and organizational skills and be capable of developing and executing research strategies. An ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as economics, statistics, or public policy, and have at least two years of experience in a research-related position. Additionally, experience with research methods, quantitative analysis, and data collection techniques, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are all highly desired.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute research strategies within the scope of research initiatives and projects.
  2. Provide technical and administrative support to research projects.
  3. Analyze and organize data related to research projects.
  4. Utilize research methods, quantitative analysis, and data collection techniques.
  5. Develop and implement research protocols and procedures.
  6. Communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Collaborate with research partners and other stakeholders.
  8. Monitor and evaluate research project progress.
  9. Prepare reports and presentations based on research findings.
  10. Stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
