
Cybersecurity Division Director
The United States Department of Commerce is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to lead our Cybersecurity Division. The ideal candidate will have a passion for protecting and enhancing the security of our systems and data, and be highly knowledgeable in the areas of cybersecurity policies, strategies, and technologies. They will have a strong understanding of best practices, and the ability to effectively manage and lead a high-performance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic organization and make a meaningful impact in the field of cybersecurity.The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: a Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in management, cybersecurity, and/or information technology; and a strong commitment to excellent customer service. Additional qualifications include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and prior experience working in a governmental or military setting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, strategies, and technologies that protect and enhance the security of systems and data.
- Lead a high-performance team and effectively manage personnel and resources.
- Ensure customer service is of the highest standard and provide support and assistance to stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze security threats and develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop training and awareness programs to educate personnel on cybersecurity best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest technologies and trends in the cybersecurity field.
- Work with other departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with budgeting and resource planning.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with external vendors and partners.
- Coordinate with other government agencies and military personnel to ensure the security of sensitive information.
