- Develop and implement company-wide food safety and quality standards in line with industry regulations and best practices.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of food safety and quality assurance, including food testing, audits, and compliance.
- Monitor and analyze data and trends related to food safety and quality, and make recommendations for improvements or corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that food safety and quality are integrated into all aspects of the business, from sourcing to production and distribution.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams to ensure that all products meet or exceed quality and safety standards.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure that they also adhere to strict food safety and quality protocols.
- Develop and implement training programs for employees at all levels to promote a culture of food safety and quality.
- Stay updated on industry developments and changes in regulations related to food safety and quality, and make necessary adjustments to company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential areas for improvement and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Serve as the main point of contact for any food safety and quality-related issues or incidents, and lead the investigation and resolution processes.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Food Science, Microbiology, Or Related Field
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Food Safety And Quality Management, Preferably In The Food Distribution Industry
Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Food Safety Regulations, Including Fda And Usda Requirements
Experience Implementing And Managing Quality Management Systems, Such As Sqf Or Brc
Proven Leadership Skills And Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Departments To Drive Continuous Improvement In Food Safety And Quality Processes.
