- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Identify and source new suppliers/vendors to expand our product offerings and improve supply chain diversity.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive and favorable terms.
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and plan inventory levels accordingly.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of products and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Oversee the procurement process, including purchase orders, invoices, and payments, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze procurement data and provide regular reports to management, highlighting cost savings and any potential risks.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and continuously seek opportunities to improve procurement operations.
- Mentor and train junior procurement staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
Bachelor's Degree In Business, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Procurement Or Supply Chain Management, Preferably In The Food Distribution Industry.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Procurement Processes, Including Sourcing, Negotiations, And Supplier Management.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Make Data-Driven Decisions.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Internal Stakeholders And External Suppliers.
