1. Develop and execute category plans to drive sales and profitability for sustainable, natural, and organic products.
2. Identify new product opportunities and make recommendations for product assortment and assortment improvements.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality products, and timely delivery.
4. Conduct market research and analysis to stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to develop and implement category strategies.
6. Monitor and analyze category performance, including sales, margin, and inventory, and make adjustments as needed.
7. Conduct regular store visits and gather feedback from customers to understand their needs and preferences.
8. Stay up-to-date on industry and regulatory changes related to natural and organic products.
9. Train and educate sales teams on product knowledge, category strategies, and industry trends.
10. Act as a brand ambassador for UNFI, promoting our mission and values to suppliers, customers, and the community.
