Job Description

Prepare the interest rate risk simulation model and related balance sheet forecasts (for multi-company financial institution when applicable), verifying the accuracy, reasonableness, and consistency of data and assumptions. . Perform analysis, and present “what-if” analyses on NII forecasts with different interest rate paths, balance sheet projections, investment portfolio strategies, product mix, and pricing assumptions. Identify, analyze, and model interest rate-sensitive, non-interest income and expense through regression and other quantitative methods. Analyze the institution's earnings-at-risk. Prepare the Economic Value of Equity (EVE) analysis and compare to peer groups and industry standards. Utilize EVE capabilities to capture effects of pro-posed strategies. Maintain and improve databases used as input to the asset/liability system. Communicate earnings and risk issues to senior management.

Job Qualifications

A sound understanding of off-balance sheet instruments (derivatives, mortgage servicing rights, and forward commitments) is preferred.
Four years of related experience in a commercial bank, including accounting, financial reporting
Successful experience of three to five years as an interest rate risk analyst using a risk rate quantification model
