  1. Conduct extensive research on nutrition science and trends to inform product development and innovation.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, R&D, and regulatory affairs to ensure nutrition claims are accurate and compliant.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external nutrition experts and stay up-to-date on industry developments.
  4. Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues within the Health & Wellbeing team and across the organization.
  5. Lead and contribute to the development of nutrition-focused strategies and initiatives.
  6. Analyze and interpret data to identify opportunities for product improvement and growth.
  7. Conduct thorough evaluations of new ingredients and technologies for potential use in products.
  8. Stay informed on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  9. Represent Unilever at conferences, events, and industry meetings to promote our commitment to health and wellbeing.
  10. Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of nutrition products and make recommendations for improvements.
  11. Proactively identify and address potential nutritional challenges and risks in products.
  12. Stay current on consumer health and wellness trends and translate them into actionable insights for product development.
  13. Mentor and train junior team members on nutrition science and best practices.
  14. Act as a brand ambassador for Unilever's commitment to health and wellbeing.
  15. Contribute to thought leadership and the advancement of nutrition science within the organization and industry.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Nutritional Science Or Related Field: A Senior Nutritional Scientist At Unilever Should Possess A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Nutritional Science Or A Related Field Such As Food Science, Public Health, Or Dietetics. This Educational Background Demonstrates A Deep Understanding Of Nutrition And Its Impact On Health And Wellbeing.

  • Extensive Experience In Nutrition Research: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 7-10 Years Of Experience In Conducting Nutrition Research, Preferably In A Corporate Setting. This Experience Should Include Designing And Executing Studies, Analyzing Data, And Presenting Findings To Stakeholders.

  • Knowledge Of Health And Wellness Trends: Unilever Is Committed To Promoting Health And Wellness Through Its Products And Initiatives. A Senior Nutritional Scientist Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Current Health And Wellness Trends, Including Plant-Based Diets, Functional Foods, And Personalized Nutrition.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills. This Includes The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams, Mentor Junior Scientists, And Communicate Complex Scientific Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders.

  • Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements: Unilever's Products Are Sold Globally, And Therefore, The Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Nutrition And Health-Related Regulatory Requirements In Different Markets. This Includes Knowledge Of Labeling Laws, Health Claims Regulations, And Food Safety Standards.
