Global Capability Manager East – Contractor & Construction Safety

1. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for contractors and construction workers in the East region, in line with Unilever's global safety standards.
2. Conduct regular audits and inspections of construction sites to identify and address potential safety hazards.
3. Provide guidance and support to project managers and team leaders on safety practices and regulations.
4. Coordinate with external safety agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with local and national safety regulations.
5. Monitor and analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
6. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees and contractors on safety best practices.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into all aspects of project planning and execution.
8. Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future accidents.
9. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and regulations related to contractor and construction safety.
10. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and accountability.
11. Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet safety goals and objectives.
12. Communicate and report on safety performance and initiatives to senior management.
13. Ensure all safety documentation and records are accurate and up-to-date.
14. Act as a role model for safety excellence and promote a positive safety culture within the organization.
15. Lead and mentor a team of safety professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
