- Conduct internal audits to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of our internal controls and processes.
- Identify and assess potential risks within the organization and make recommendations for mitigating those risks.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement action plans to address identified issues.
- Keep abreast of changes in regulations and industry best practices, and make recommendations for updates to our internal processes.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our audit processes.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism while representing the company in all audit activities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on internal audit practices and procedures.
- Act as a mentor and coach to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with established deadlines and standards.
Extensive Experience In Internal Audit: A Senior Professional, Internal Audit At Under Armor Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Conducting Internal Audits, Preferably In A Large Organization Or In The Retail Industry.
Strong Knowledge Of Audit Standards And Practices: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Audit Methodologies, Frameworks, And Standards Such As Coso And Gaap. They Should Also Be Familiar With Risk Assessment And Control Evaluation Techniques.
Leadership And Team Management Skills: As A Senior Role, The Candidate Should Have Proven Experience In Leading And Managing A Team Of Auditors. This Includes Setting Goals, Providing Guidance And Support, And Monitoring Team Performance.
Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Senior Professional, Internal Audit Will Be Responsible For Identifying And Addressing Potential Risks And Inefficiencies Within The Organization. They Should Possess Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills To Effectively Evaluate And Solve Complex Problems.
Excellent Communication And Stakeholder Management: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate Audit Findings And Recommendations To Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Management And External Auditors. They Should Also Have Experience In Building And Maintaining Relationships With Key Stakeholders.
