1. Lead the design team for the Running and Basketball categories, setting a clear vision and direction for the future of Under Armor footwear products.
2. Develop and implement creative and innovative design concepts for running and basketball footwear that align with the company's overall brand and mission.
3. Conduct market research and stay up-to-date on current trends, technologies, and consumer needs in the running and basketball industries.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, and sales to ensure all footwear designs meet the needs and expectations of athletes and customers.
5. Manage the entire design process from concept development to production, ensuring deadlines are met and products are delivered on time.
6. Mentor and develop junior designers, providing guidance and feedback to help them grow and improve their skills.
7. Work closely with sourcing and production teams to ensure the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of designs.
8. Continuously review and analyze product performance and consumer feedback to make improvements and adjustments to future designs.
9. Attend industry events and trade shows to stay knowledgeable about the latest market trends and competitor offerings.
10. Uphold the company's high standards for quality, functionality, and aesthetics in all footwear designs.
