Manager, Cloud Platform Engineering

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) family as our Manager of Cloud Platform Engineering. As the Manager, Cloud Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the Cloud Platform Engineering team in developing and operating the UKG Cloud Platform. We are looking for a leader with a strong technical background who is adept at managing a team and has a keen eye for detail.Our ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and operating cloud platforms. Expertise in DevOps and Cloud Native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Istio is a must, and experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP is highly desirable. In addition to technical proficiency, the ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills along with a customer-focused mindset.If you are an experienced technical leader with a passion for cloud computing and a desire to lead a team, then we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the Cloud Platform Engineering team in developing and operating the UKG Cloud Platform.
2. Design, develop, and operate cloud platforms, ensuring that they are scalable and secure.
3. Utilize expertise in DevOps and Cloud Native technologies, such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Istio.
4. Work with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP to ensure best practices and optimal performance.
5. Monitor the team’s performance and progress, and provide feedback and direction.
6. Maintain customer-focused mindset throughout all stages of the cloud platform development and operations.
7. Foster a collaborative, positive work environment for the team.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and security protocols.
9. Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in cloud computing.
10. Work with other teams and departments as necessary.
