1. Manage the selection and procurement of merchandise for Ulta Beauty, ensuring that the products offered are in line with the company's brand and customer needs.
2. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating pricing and terms to secure the best deals for the company.
3. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market demands to make strategic decisions about product selection and pricing.
4. Create and implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
5. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies that drive sales and increase customer engagement.
6. Oversee inventory management, including forecasting and replenishment, to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize out of stock situations.
7. Train and develop a team of merchandising associates, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent execution of merchandising standards.
8. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth and make data-driven decisions for product assortment and placement.
9. Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure products are displayed in an attractive and organized manner.
10. Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams, including buying, planning, and store operations, to ensure alignment on merchandising strategies and goals.
11. Stay informed on competitor's offerings and pricing to make recommendations for improvement and stay ahead in the market.
12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and compliance standards, to ensure a safe and positive work environment.
13. Serve as a brand ambassador for Ulta Beauty, promoting the company's values and mission to provide an exceptional shopping experience for customers.
14. Continuously strive for operational excellence and provide suggestions for process improvements to drive efficiency and productivity.
15. Stay customer-focused and respond promptly to any customer feedback, concerns, or complaints to ensure their satisfaction.
