- Greet and welcome customers to Ulta Beauty in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their purchases, answering questions, and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Train and mentor team members on proper cashier procedures, customer service standards, and product knowledge.
- Monitor and maintain the cash register area, ensuring accuracy of transactions, proper cash handling, and cleanliness.
- Lead by example by providing outstanding customer service and demonstrating a strong knowledge of Ulta Beauty products and promotions.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including counting and balancing cash drawers.
- Communicate effectively with team members and store management to ensure smooth operations and efficient customer service.
- Handle escalated customer complaints or issues, working to find a satisfactory resolution.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking and replenishing products on the sales floor.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to cashiers to help improve their skills and customer service.
- Stay up-to-date on current beauty trends and products to provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the cash wrap and sales floor.
- Enforce all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
- Assist with scheduling and assigning tasks to cashiers to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
- Other duties as assigned by store management.
Retail Experience: A Lead Cashier At Ulta Beauty Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Cashier Or Customer Service Role. This Experience Will Demonstrate An Understanding Of The Retail Industry And The Ability To Handle Cash Transactions.
Cash Handling Skills: The Lead Cashier Should Have A Strong Aptitude For Handling Cash, Making Accurate Transactions, And Balancing A Cash Register. They Should Also Be Familiar With Using A Pos System And Handling Different Forms Of Payment, Including Credit Cards And Gift Cards.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent Customer Service Skills Are Essential For A Lead Cashier At Ulta Beauty. They Should Be Able To Provide A Positive And Friendly Experience For Customers, Handle Customer Complaints And Resolve Any Issues That May Arise.
Leadership Skills: As The Name Suggests, A Lead Cashier Is Expected To Lead The Cashier Team And Ensure That All Cashiers Are Performing Their Duties Accurately And Efficiently. They Should Have Strong Leadership Skills, Be Able To Delegate Tasks, And Provide Guidance And Support To Cashiers When Needed.
Product Knowledge: A Lead Cashier Should Have A Good Understanding Of Ulta Beauty's Products And Services. This Knowledge Will Enable Them To Assist Customers With Product Questions And Recommendations, As Well As Promote And Drive Sales Through Upselling And Cross-Selling Techniques.
