
HR Manager
Responsible for oversight of the full scope of personnel and payroll activities for 200+ career and academic staff, and 300+ student employees. Serve as adviser to unit heads and senior management on human resources and personnel issues. Manage a wide variety of issues which are often of a complex and sensitive nature. Supervise, direct, and train staff responsible for coordinating and implementing the full range of staff human resources, academic personnel, and student employment functions including recruitment and hiring, transfers, leaves, separations, benefits, classification and compensation, employee and labor relations, performance management, work-life programs, and payroll/timekeeping.
Experience and proven success managing a broad scope of human resource-related functions in a large, complex and unionized environment
Ability to analyze workflow and determine effective staffing structures to meet operational and service needs of organization.
Expertise to develop innovative approaches, techniques and procedures to provide more efficient and responsive services.
