  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Health Information Management department.
  2. Manage and lead a team of professionals responsible for maintaining and organizing patient records and data.
  3. Ensure all health information is accurately and efficiently processed and stored according to established protocols.
  4. Monitor and maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA.
  5. Implement and enforce policies and procedures to safeguard the confidentiality and security of patient information.
  6. Develop and maintain quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient records.
  7. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate exchange of health information.
  8. Train and mentor team members on best practices for managing and maintaining health information.
  9. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and support to team members.
  10. Continuously assess and improve department processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  11. Stay current on industry trends and advancements in health information management.
  12. Collaborate with IT department to implement and maintain electronic health record systems.
  13. Serve as a resource for staff and healthcare providers regarding health information management policies and procedures.
  14. Communicate regularly with upper management to provide updates on department performance and address any concerns or issues.
  15. Promote a positive and professional work environment that fosters teamwork, collaboration, and excellence in patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field

  • Certified Registered Health Information Administrator (Rhia) Or Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Certification

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Health Information Management Or Related Field

  • Strong Knowledge Of Health Information Systems, Electronic Health Records, And Medical Coding Standards

  • Excellent Leadership And Management Skills, With Proven Experience In Supervising And Developing A Team Of Health Information Management Professionals
