
Sterile Processing Educator

- Develop and deliver educational programs and training materials on proper sterile processing techniques to all staff members involved in the sterilization process.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to sterile processing, and incorporate this knowledge into training materials and programs.
- Evaluate the competency of staff through observation and performance assessments, and provide constructive feedback and additional training as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of staff training and competency assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of sterile processing areas and equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to standards.
- Proactively identify potential risks and hazards related to sterile processing and develop strategies to prevent them.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to staff, providing guidance and support for any questions or concerns related to sterile processing.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees to contribute to the development and improvement of sterile processing protocols and procedures.
- Continuously seek out opportunities for professional development and stay informed on advancements in sterile processing techniques and technology.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or Sterile Processing.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In Sterile Processing, Preferably In A Leadership Or Educational Role.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Industry Standards And Regulations Related To Sterile Processing, Such As Aami And Joint Commission.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Teach And Train Students And Staff.
Experience Developing And Implementing Educational Programs, Including Curriculum Design And Assessment.
