Job Description

  1. Provide exceptional care to patients before and after undergoing special procedures and surgery.
  2. Utilize nursing expertise to assess and monitor patients' conditions, administer medications, and provide patient education.
  3. Assist physicians with special procedures and surgery, ensuring proper equipment and supplies are available.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  5. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
  6. Advocate for patient needs and ensure their comfort and safety at all times.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current medical practices and procedures related to pre/post special procedures and surgery.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare team members.
  9. Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards.
  10. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
  12. Attend trainings and meetings as required by the organization.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  15. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  16. Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients, regardless of their condition.
  17. Adhere to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice.
  18. Mentor and guide new nursing staff as needed.
  19. Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate care.
  20. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn Licensure: The Candidate Must Possess A Current And Active Rn License In The State Of Ohio, With No Restrictions Or Disciplinary Actions.

  • Bls/Acls Certification: The Candidate Must Be Certified In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) By The American Heart Association.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Pre/Post Special Procedures/Surgery: The Candidate Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Similar Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Pre And Post-Operative Care.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures And Equipment: The Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Various Surgical Procedures And The Equipment Used In Special Procedures/Surgery, Including But Not Limited To Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, And Minimally Invasive Surgery.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Should Also Have Strong Organizational Skills To Manage Multiple Patients And Procedures Simultaneously.
