  1. Provide exceptional and compassionate care to patients undergoing treatment for various types of cancer in the outpatient setting.
  2. Utilize your specialized knowledge and experience in oncology to assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions for patients.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, while ensuring safety and effectiveness.
  4. Monitor and assess patient's response to treatment and adjust care plans accordingly.
  5. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  7. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care, including progress notes and medication administration records.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice.
  9. Continuously strive to improve the quality of care and patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and participation in ongoing education and training.
  10. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their cancer journey.
  11. Collaborate with community resources and support services to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  12. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team meetings to discuss patient care and progress.
  13. Remain current on advancements in oncology care and techniques through ongoing education and training.
  14. Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and addressed.
  15. Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For This Position, With Preference Given To Candidates With A Master's Degree In Nursing.

  • Valid State Rn License: All Applicants Must Possess A Valid And Current Rn License In The State Of Employment.

  • Oncology Certification: Candidates With A Certification In Oncology Nursing (Ocn) Or Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (Aocn) Will Be Given Preference For This Position.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Oncology Nursing Experience: Applicants Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Outpatient Oncology Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: This Position Requires Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members. Candidates Must Also Possess Strong Critical Thinking Skills To Develop And Implement Individualized Care Plans For Patients.
