- Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Perform diagnostic tests and assessments to evaluate patients' respiratory function and determine appropriate treatment.
- Administer therapeutic treatments, such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
- Monitor patients' responses to treatments and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on proper self-care techniques and respiratory management.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatments, and progress.
- Stay current on advancements in respiratory therapy techniques and technology through continuous learning and professional development.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced and challenging healthcare environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in multidisciplinary rounds to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, related to respiratory therapy.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing new protocols and procedures to enhance patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Work independently and efficiently, while also being a team player and collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
Current Certification From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).
State Licensure As A Respiratory Therapist.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.
