- Perform high-quality ophthalmic imaging procedures using specialized equipment and techniques.
- Work closely with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to capture images that aid in diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and conditions.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate and consistent image quality.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Manage patient appointments and maintain accurate and organized records of imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of imaging results.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in ophthalmic imaging technology and techniques.
- Provide excellent patient care, including explaining procedures and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Assist in training and mentoring new ophthalmic photographers.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Follow departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and educational opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare facilities as needed.
- Act professionally and represent UC Health in a positive manner at all times.
- Continuously strive for improvement and suggest ways to enhance the quality and efficiency of imaging services.
Certification As A Certified Retinal Angiographer (Cra) Or Certified Ophthalmic Photographer (Cop) From The Ophthalmic Photographers' Society (Ops).
Bachelor's Degree In Photography, Medical Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Ophthalmic Photography, Preferably In A Clinical Setting.
Proficient In Using Ophthalmic Imaging Equipment And Software, Including Fundus Photography, Optical Coherence Tomography (Oct), And Fluorescein Angiography.
Strong Understanding Of Ophthalmic Anatomy And Pathology, As Well As Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Patient Care.
