- Assist Ophthalmic Photographers in capturing high-quality images of patients' eyes for diagnosis and treatment purposes.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Maintain and operate ophthalmic imaging equipment, including cameras, lenses, and lighting systems.
- Ensure proper positioning and lighting for optimal image quality.
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and consistent image capture.
- Collaborate with Ophthalmic Photographers to review and analyze images for quality assurance.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of patient information and imaging results.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including disinfecting equipment and restocking supplies.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with advancements in ophthalmic photography techniques and equipment.
Associate's Degree Or Higher In Photography, Ophthalmic Technology, Or A Related Field.
Certification As An Ophthalmic Photographer Assistant (Opa).
Experience Working In A Clinical Or Medical Setting, Preferably In Ophthalmology.
Knowledge Of Basic Ophthalmic Procedures And Equipment, Including Fundus Photography, Slit-Lamp Biomicroscopy, And Optical Coherence Tomography.
Excellent Communication, Organization, And Time Management Skills, With The Ability To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment.
