- Provide administrative and clinical support to healthcare team members in the Specialty Care department.
- Assist with patient intake and check-in process, including verifying insurance and personal information.
- Prepare patient rooms and equipment for procedures and exams.
- Take and record patient vital signs and medical history accurately.
- Perform basic lab tests and assist with specimen collection and processing.
- Administer medications and injections under the supervision of a healthcare provider.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information in electronic medical records.
- Communicate with patients in a professional and empathetic manner, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Help maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote patient safety and infection control.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide coordinated and efficient care to patients.
- Stay updated on current medical procedures and protocols and adhere to all regulatory standards.
- Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, relaying important information and instructions.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating referrals for patients.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA regulations in handling patient information.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) From An Accredited Program.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Specialty Care Setting, Such As Cardiology, Orthopedics, Or Neurology.
Proficient In Electronic Medical Record (Emr) Systems And Medical Terminology Specific To Specialty Care.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Team Members.
Ability To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment, While Maintaining A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail.
