
Medical Assistant I - Rheumatology

- Assist in patient care: The Medical Assistant I will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in providing care to patients with rheumatologic conditions. This includes taking vital signs, recording patient information, and administering medications or treatments as directed.
- Maintain patient records: The Medical Assistant I will be responsible for accurately recording and maintaining patient records, including medical history, medications, and test results.
- Prepare examination rooms: The Medical Assistant I will be responsible for ensuring that examination rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient visits. This includes sanitizing equipment, restocking supplies, and maintaining a safe and organized environment.
- Coordinate appointments: The Medical Assistant I will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating patient appointments, including follow-up visits and referrals to other healthcare providers.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For This Position. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge Necessary To Perform The Job Duties.
Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma): The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Hold A Valid Certification As A Cma Or Rma From An Accredited Institution. This Certification Demonstrates A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Patient Care.
Prior Experience In Rheumatology: Previous Experience Working In A Rheumatology Setting Is Preferred. This Experience Will Provide A Strong Foundation And Understanding Of The Specific Needs And Challenges Of This Specialized Field.
Knowledge Of Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems: Familiarity With Ehr Systems Is Required For This Position. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Navigating And Entering Patient Information Into Ehr Systems, As Well As Troubleshooting Any Technical Issues That May Arise.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: As A Medical Assistant I In Rheumatology, Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Essential.
