1. Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of UC Health facilities by performing routine groundskeeping duties such as mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning.
2. Monitor and care for plants, flowers, and trees to ensure they are healthy and well-maintained.
3. Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, such as lawnmowers, weed trimmers, and leaf blowers, in a safe and efficient manner.
4. Work with other members of the groundskeeping team to plan and execute seasonal landscaping projects, including planting and mulching.
5. Ensure that all walkways, parking lots, and outdoor areas are clear of debris and hazards, such as snow, ice, and fallen branches.
6. Report any issues or concerns regarding the grounds to the appropriate supervisor, such as damaged equipment or potential safety hazards.
7. Assist in maintaining the irrigation system, including repairing broken sprinkler heads and adjusting watering schedules as needed.
8. Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing groundskeeping duties, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
9. Maintain an inventory of groundskeeping supplies and equipment and report any needs to the supervisor.
10. Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by responding promptly and courteously to requests and inquiries.
11. Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge related to groundskeeping.
12. Adhere to all policies and procedures of UC Health, including those related to safety, infection control, and confidentiality.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
