- Develop and implement a comprehensive physician compensation strategy that is competitive, fair, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct ongoing research and analysis of physician compensation trends and make recommendations for adjustments to compensation programs.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and human resources, to ensure alignment of physician compensation programs with overall organizational goals and budgets.
- Oversee the administration of physician compensation, including salary, bonuses, incentives, and benefits, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Lead and manage a team responsible for physician compensation, providing guidance and support to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with physician leaders and key stakeholders to understand their needs and concerns related to compensation.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations related to physician compensation and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
- Develop and present reports and presentations related to physician compensation to senior leadership and the board of directors.
- Conduct regular evaluations and audits of compensation programs to identify areas for improvement and ensure fairness and equity.
- Collaborate with external consultants and vendors to benchmark and improve compensation programs.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to physician compensation, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
- Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices in physician compensation and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to resolve any issues related to physician compensation, including disputes or discrepancies.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the physician compensation team, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Represent the organization in professional and community events related to physician compensation.
Advanced Degree In Healthcare Administration Or Business Administration: A Director Physician Compensation At Uc Health Should Have A Relevant Advanced Degree In Healthcare Administration Or Business Administration. This Will Ensure They Have A Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Operations And Financial Management.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Physician Compensation: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Physician Compensation, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. This Experience Should Include Designing And Implementing Compensation Plans, Managing Physician Contracts, And Conducting Market Analysis.
Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Compliance: Uc Health Is Committed To Following All Regulatory And Compliance Requirements. Therefore, The Director Physician Compensation Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations, Such As Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, And Medicare Reimbursement Rules.
