  1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the imaging department to ensure the delivery of high-quality and efficient services to patients.
  2. Monitor and evaluate departmental performance, including productivity, quality of services, and patient satisfaction.
  3. Hire, train, and supervise imaging department staff, ensuring that they are knowledgeable, skilled, and motivated to provide exceptional patient care.
  4. Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the imaging department, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  5. Oversee the maintenance and upgrading of imaging equipment, ensuring that all equipment is properly functioning and meets quality standards.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  7. Manage departmental budget and resources, making strategic decisions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  8. Stay updated on advancements in imaging technology and make recommendations for equipment upgrades or new technology implementation.
  9. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging staff to identify and implement process improvements.
  10. Act as a liaison between the imaging department and other departments, as well as external stakeholders, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  11. Handle any patient or staff complaints or concerns related to imaging services, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, radiation safety, and other relevant standards.
  13. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of necessary equipment and supplies.
  14. Keep accurate records and reports, including financial and operational data, and present them to upper management as needed.
  15. Represent the imaging department and UC Health in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).

  • Excellent Communication, Organizational, And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology, Health Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within An Imaging Department.

  • Strong Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Imaging Services.
