  1. Conduct diagnostic ultrasound procedures using state-of-the-art technology to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all ultrasound exams, including proper documentation and communication of results to physicians.
  3. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  5. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in diagnostic ultrasound techniques and technology.
  6. Educate and communicate with patients and their families about procedures and any necessary preparations.
  7. Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
  8. Adhere to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  9. Work closely with physicians to determine appropriate ultrasound exams and assist with procedures as needed.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to patients by addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  11. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  13. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
  14. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times.
  15. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications

  • Appropriate Education And Certification: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field, As Well As Ardms Certification, Is Required For This Position.

  • Proficiency In Sonography Techniques: Candidates Must Be Proficient In Performing A Wide Range Of Sonography Techniques, Including Abdominal, Obstetric, Gynecological, And Vascular Procedures.

  • Knowledge Of Ultrasound Equipment: The Ability To Operate And Maintain A Variety Of Ultrasound Equipment, Including 2D, 3D, And Doppler Machines, Is Essential For This Role.

  • Understanding Of Anatomy And Pathology: A Strong Understanding Of Human Anatomy And The Ability To Identify And Diagnose Abnormalities And Pathologies Through Sonography Is Necessary For This Position.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For Working With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. The Ability To Provide Clear And Accurate Information To Patients And Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Team Is Essential.
