- Conduct audits of patient charts on a regular basis to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Thoroughly review and analyze medical records to identify any discrepancies or potential issues.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and administrators.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement corrective action plans as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on changes to regulatory standards and internal policies to ensure compliance.
- Participate in training and education initiatives to promote understanding and adherence to compliance standards among staff members.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of audit results and any corrective actions taken.
- Serve as a resource for staff members regarding compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and track compliance metrics and report on trends and areas for improvement.
- Communicate any potential compliance risks or concerns to appropriate leadership.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and inspections.
- Uphold the confidentiality and privacy of patient information at all times.
- Act as a role model for ethical and professional behavior in all interactions.
- Attend meetings and trainings as required to stay informed and up-to-date on compliance standards and internal policies.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes quality patient care.
Active Rn License: A Clinical Auditor Rn At Uc Health Must Possess A Current, Unrestricted Rn License In The State Of Employment.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For This Role, With Preference Given To Candidates With A Master's Degree.
Clinical Experience: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Clinical Experience In An Acute Care Setting, Preferably In A Leadership Or Auditing Role.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Standards: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Standards And Guidelines, Including Cms, Joint Commission, And Hipaa.
Strong Analytical Skills: A Clinical Auditor Rn Should Have Excellent Analytical Skills To Review And Analyze Clinical Data, Identify Trends And Areas For Improvement, And Make Recommendations For Corrective Actions.
