  1. Conduct audits of patient charts on a regular basis to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  2. Thoroughly review and analyze medical records to identify any discrepancies or potential issues.
  3. Communicate audit findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and administrators.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement corrective action plans as needed.
  5. Stay up-to-date on changes to regulatory standards and internal policies to ensure compliance.
  6. Participate in training and education initiatives to promote understanding and adherence to compliance standards among staff members.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of audit results and any corrective actions taken.
  8. Serve as a resource for staff members regarding compliance and regulatory requirements.
  9. Monitor and track compliance metrics and report on trends and areas for improvement.
  10. Communicate any potential compliance risks or concerns to appropriate leadership.
  11. Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and inspections.
  12. Uphold the confidentiality and privacy of patient information at all times.
  13. Act as a role model for ethical and professional behavior in all interactions.
  14. Attend meetings and trainings as required to stay informed and up-to-date on compliance standards and internal policies.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes quality patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License: A Clinical Auditor Rn At Uc Health Must Possess A Current, Unrestricted Rn License In The State Of Employment.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For This Role, With Preference Given To Candidates With A Master's Degree.

  • Clinical Experience: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Clinical Experience In An Acute Care Setting, Preferably In A Leadership Or Auditing Role.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Standards: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Standards And Guidelines, Including Cms, Joint Commission, And Hipaa.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: A Clinical Auditor Rn Should Have Excellent Analytical Skills To Review And Analyze Clinical Data, Identify Trends And Areas For Improvement, And Make Recommendations For Corrective Actions.
