As a Biomedical Equipment Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective functioning of medical equipment, ultimately contributing to the well-being of our patients.   1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of medical equipment, including but not limited to patient monitors, infusion pumps, defibrillators, and ventilators.
  2. Conduct thorough inspections and testing of equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, and develop effective solutions to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  4. Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
  5. Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment needs and provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and changes in technology to ensure equipment is functioning at optimal levels.
  7. Train and educate healthcare staff on proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  8. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety protocols.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.
  10. Adhere to departmental policies and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  11. Prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines and respond to urgent requests.
  12. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and safety in all aspects of the job.
  13. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  14. Continuously seek ways to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  15. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency equipment issues as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree Or Higher In Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Repairing And Maintaining Medical Equipment.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Equipment Safety Standards And Regulations, Including Hipaa And Fda Guidelines.

  • Strong Technical Skills, Including The Ability To Troubleshoot And Repair Complex Equipment.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Well With Healthcare Professionals And Other Team Members.
