Master's Degree In Counseling, Psychology, Or Related Field: A Behavioral Health Counselor At Uc Health Should Have A Strong Educational Background In The Field Of Mental Health And Counseling.
Licensure And Certification: Candidates Should Possess A Valid License To Practice Counseling In The State Of Ohio And Be Certified By A Recognized Professional Organization, Such As The National Board For Certified Counselors.
Experience In Behavioral Health Counseling: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Counseling Individuals With Mental Health And Behavioral Issues, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices: A Behavioral Health Counselor At Uc Health Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practices In The Field Of Mental Health, Such As Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Or Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
