- Oversee daily operations and provide leadership for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a supportive and positive work environment.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to nurses, ensuring their professional development and growth.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff and provide feedback for improvement.
- Coordinate and participate in patient care rounds to ensure efficient and effective delivery of care.
- Ensure adherence to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Communicate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and nursing staff.
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new nurses.
- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for the NICU.
- Act as a liaison between nursing staff and upper management, conveying any concerns or issues.
- Stay current on advancements and best practices in neonatal nursing and implement them in the NICU.
- Promote a culture of patient-centered care and continuously seek ways to improve patient outcomes.
- Foster a culture of compassion, empathy, and respect among the nursing team.
Previous Leadership Or Management Experience, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Ohio.
Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree Or Higher From An Accredited Nursing Program.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu) Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead And Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Team.
