  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for all security incidents within the organization.
  2. Develop and implement a comprehensive incident response plan to effectively handle security incidents.
  3. Lead and coordinate the response efforts of various teams, including IT, legal, and communications, during security incidents.
  4. Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents and provide detailed reports to management.
  5. Identify and assess potential security threats and vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  6. Monitor and analyze security logs and activity to detect and respond to potential security breaches.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve incident response processes.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with external security partners and law enforcement agencies.
  9. Train and educate employees on security best practices and incident response procedures.
  10. Maintain and update incident response documentation and procedures to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and measures to prevent future incidents.
  12. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, during and after security incidents.
  13. Conduct regular tests and exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of incident response plans.
  14. Serve as a subject matter expert on security incident response and provide guidance and recommendations to other team members.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information and incidents with discretion.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Security Incident Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Security Incidents In A High-Pressure Environment.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Security Best Practices: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Security Best Practices, Including Incident Response Frameworks, Threat Intelligence, And Vulnerability Management.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Staff Security Incident Commander, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Security Professionals During Critical Incidents. Therefore, They Must Possess Strong Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage And Coordinate Resources.

  • Technical Proficiency: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background With Experience In Security Tools And Technologies Such As Siem, Ids/Ips, Firewalls, And Endpoint Protection. They Should Also Be Familiar With Common Programming Languages And Have Experience In Scripting And Automation.

  • Crisis Management And Decision-Making Abilities: Security Incidents Can Be Complex And Require Quick Decision-Making Skills. The Candidate Should Be Able To Remain Calm Under Pressure And Make Sound Judgments To Mitigate Risks And Minimize The Impact Of Security Incidents On The Organization. Previous Experience In Crisis Management Or Incident Response Is A Plus.
