  4. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate favorable contracts and terms.

  8. Use data and analytics to track and report on key performance metrics related to procurement and supply chain.
  9. Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, ensuring continuity of operations.
  10. Stay updated on industry developments and best practices in procurement and logistics, and implement relevant strategies.
  11. Collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure alignment and execution of company goals.
  12. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems.
  13. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the procurement team.
  14. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on procurement and supply chain performance.
  15. Represent Uber in negotiations and meetings with vendors and suppliers.
  16. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Procurement And Supply Chain Management: A Sr Operations & Logistics Manager At Uber Must Have A Strong Background In Procurement And Supply Chain Management, With At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In The Field. This Includes Experience In Negotiating Contracts, Managing Suppliers, And Optimizing Supply Chain Operations.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills: This Role Requires A Candidate Who Has Experience Leading And Managing A Team, As Well As Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate And Delegate Tasks, As Well As Motivate And Mentor Team Members.

  • Analytical And Strategic Thinking: Uber's Supply Chain Operations Are Complex And Constantly Evolving, So A Sr Operations & Logistics Manager Must Have Strong Analytical Skills And The Ability To Think Strategically. This Includes Data Analysis, Forecasting, And Developing Efficient Procurement Strategies.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills: As A Sr Operations & Logistics Manager, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Building And Maintaining Relationships With Suppliers, Negotiating Contracts, And Communicating With Internal Stakeholders. Therefore, Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Familiarity With Logistics And Transportation Industry: Uber's Business Model Heavily Relies On Logistics And Transportation, So A Sr Operations & Logistics Manager Must Have A Strong Understanding Of This Industry. This Includes Knowledge Of Logistics Processes, Regulations, And Trends, As Well As Experience In Managing Transportation Partnerships And Optimizing Delivery Operations.
