  1. Develop and implement effective public policy strategies that align with Uber's goals and objectives.
  2. Monitor and analyze local, state, and federal regulatory developments and their potential impact on Uber's operations.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the needs and concerns of different departments and incorporate them into policy proposals.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with government officials, regulators, industry associations, and other stakeholders to advance Uber's policy interests.
  5. Represent Uber in meetings, hearings, and other public forums to advocate for policies that benefit the company.
  6. Research and draft policy briefs, white papers, and other materials to educate policymakers and the general public about Uber's position on key issues.
  7. Develop and maintain a network of external experts and consultants to support Uber's policy efforts.
  8. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  9. Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in public policy and transportation industries.
  10. Lead and mentor a team of policy analysts to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  11. Communicate policy updates and changes to relevant stakeholders within the company.
  12. Contribute to the development of Uber's long-term strategic plans by providing insights on policy and regulatory issues.
  13. Handle crisis management related to policy and regulatory issues, effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  14. Collaborate with communications and government relations teams to develop messaging and communication strategies related to public policy.
  15. Monitor and track the success of implemented policies and provide regular updates to leadership on their impact.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Public Policy, Government Relations, Or Advocacy Roles.

  • Strong Understanding Of The Regulatory And Legislative Landscape, Particularly In The Transportation Industry.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With Experience In Building Relationships With Government Officials And Stakeholders.

  • Ability To Think Strategically And Analytically, With A Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Successful Public Policy Strategies.
