Job Description

The U.S. Federal Reserve System is currently seeking a motivated and highly organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Congressional Liaison. As an integral part of our team, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of the Federal Reserve. We are looking for a professional with exceptional communication and problem solving skills who is able to interact with stakeholders, both internal and external, in a professional and engaging manner.You should possess a Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, or a related field, as well as 3-5 years of experience working in a public policy or government setting. Experience in a Congressional, GSE, or other public policy setting is strongly preferred. Additionally, you should have a comprehensive understanding of the legislative process, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders to build relationships and support the Federal Reserve’s mission.If you are passionate about public policy and have a strong commitment to the Federal Reserve, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to effectively engage and support the Federal Reserve’s mission.
  2. Monitor and analyze public policy developments and their potential impact on the Federal Reserve.
  3. Draft and edit communications and reports related to the Federal Reserve’s legislative activities.
  4. Represent the Federal Reserve in meetings with Congressional and GSE stakeholders.
  5. Develop and implement strategies to advocate for the Federal Reserve’s priorities and objectives.
  6. Provide advice and guidance to Federal Reserve staff on legislative and public policy matters.
  7. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the legislative process.
  8. Monitor and respond to Congressional inquiries and requests for information.
  9. Coordinate and attend Congressional hearings and other events.
  10. Analyze and synthesize information to inform policy decisions.
