Job Description

We are looking for an IT Specialist (Application Software) with a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of technical personnel. At the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, we are passionate about supporting our nation’s veterans and their families and we strive to create an environment where our employees can make a real difference in their lives. The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid background in IT and software applications, as well as excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field• At least 2 years of experience in software application design, development, and implementation• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve software application issues• Ability to work independently or in a team environment• Strong customer service and communication skills• Ability to write and maintain computer programs and scripts• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and other software applications• Knowledge of web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) If you have the required qualifications and a passion for IT and software applications, we invite you to apply for this position.
