The U.S. Department of Transportation is currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Supervisory Railroad Safety Specialist. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide oversight and direction to other safety specialists.
  2. Ensure adherence to railroad safety standards.
  3. Lead and mentor a team of safety specialists.
  4. Monitor the progress of safety initiatives.
  5. Identify and address any safety issues or concerns.
  6. Develop and implement safety strategies and protocols.
  7. Analyze and interpret data to ensure safety compliance.
  8. Prepare reports and documents related to safety efforts.
  9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure safety initiatives are successful.
  10. Stay up-to-date on relevant regulations and standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or Related Field

  • Minimum Years Of Experience In Railroad Safety

  • Knowledge Of Federal Railroad Administration (Fra) Regulations And Standards

  • Experience In Railroad Safety Training And Instruction

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills

  • Ability To Effectively Manage And Supervise Staff
