Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Loan Specialist to join the U.S. Department of Transportation. This individual will be responsible for facilitating and administering the full range of loan and loan guarantee programs. The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, a strong knowledge of loan origination and servicing, and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for helping others, then this position is for you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate and administer U.S. Department of Transportation loan and loan guarantee programs.
  2. Monitor loan applications and ensure proper loan origination and servicing.
  3. Provide customer service to staff and applicants.
  4. Review loan documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
  5. Assist in loan underwriting and processing.
  6. Manage loan portfolios and provide updates to staff and customers.
  7. Prepare loan reports and documents as required.
  8. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with loan applicants, staff, and stakeholders.
  9. Respond to loan inquiries and provide assistance to customers.
  10. Monitor loan performance and recommend necessary changes.
