
Director, Office of Grants and Financial Assistance
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director for the Office of Grants and Financial Assistance at the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). The Director will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the office, ensuring the development and implementation of effective strategies and processes to support the DOT's mission. The successful candidate must possess a deep understanding of grants and financial assistance, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct the Office of Grants and Financial Assistance at the U.S. Department of Transportation in order to achieve the DOT's mission.
- Develop and implement effective strategies and processes to support the DOT's mission.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Manage grants and financial assistance programs to maximize their effectiveness.
- Supervise, hire, and train personnel in the Office of Grants and Financial Assistance.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
- Monitor program performance and prepare reports for senior management.
- Provide exceptional customer service to those we serve.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends in grants and financial assistance.
- Develop and manage the office's budget.
