
Airplane Pilot
The U.S. Department of Transportation is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Airplane Pilot to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation of company aircraft, in compliance with all applicable regulations and policies. This position requires a passion for aviation, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest safety standards. Required Qualifications:• Must possess a valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) or Commercial Pilot (CPL) certificate• Must possess a valid FAA 1st or 2nd Class Medical Certificate• Must have a minimum of 1,500 hours of total flight time, including 500 hours of cross-country flight time• Must have a minimum of 500 hours of multi-engine airplane experience• Must be able to pass a security background check • Must be able to pass a drug screen test • Must have a valid driver’s license
Responsibilities: • Operate company aircraft in a safe and secure manner in compliance with all applicable regulations and policies • Maintain proficiency and knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration regulations and procedures • Perform pre-flight inspections and post-flight inspections to ensure safety of flight • Plan and execute cross-country flights as requested by company • Ensure all aircraft maintenance records are up-to-date and accurate • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with passengers and fellow crew members • Monitor and assess weather conditions, air traffic, and other factors that could impact flight safety • Plan and execute emergency and contingency procedures as necessary • Provide feedback to management and other departments regarding flight operations and safety • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism
