Job Description

  • Conduct research and analysis on tax laws and regulations at the federal level
  • Provide guidance and support to taxpayers on tax laws and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations through audits and investigations
  • Review and interpret tax laws and regulations to determine their impact on the department and taxpayers
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote tax compliance and minimize risk
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to address complex tax issues
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate any updates to relevant parties
  • Analyze and evaluate tax policies and procedures to identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on tax law and regulations
  • Participate in meetings and discussions related to tax law and regulation development and implementation.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School

  • Admission To Practice Law In At Least One State And In Good Standing

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Federal Tax Laws And Regulations

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Tax Law, Preferably With A Focus On Federal Tax Issues

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Tax Issues And Provide Sound Legal Advice
