Job Description

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain physical security policies and procedures in accordance with federal regulations and departmental guidelines.
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats and make recommendations for mitigation strategies.
  3. Monitor and maintain access control systems, including key and card access, to ensure only authorized personnel have access to sensitive areas.
  4. Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and other government entities to ensure appropriate security measures are in place.
  5. Conduct regular audits of security protocols and procedures to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  6. Manage and maintain physical security equipment, including cameras, alarms, and other surveillance systems.
  7. Train and educate employees on security awareness and emergency response procedures.
  8. Respond to security incidents and conduct investigations as needed.
  9. Collaborate with other security professionals to develop and implement emergency response plans.
  10. Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in physical security technology to continuously improve security measures.
  11. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to security incidents, training, and equipment maintenance.
  12. Serve as a point of contact for security-related inquiries and provide guidance and support to other departments as needed.
  13. Assist with the development and management of the department's physical security budget.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  15. Comply with all departmental and federal regulations, policies, and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Security Management, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Physical Security, Preferably In A Government Or Financial Institution Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal Security Regulations And Policies, Including Those Specific To The Protection Of Government Facilities, Personnel, And Assets.

  • Experience Conducting Security Risk Assessments And Implementing Security Measures To Mitigate Potential Threats.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Stakeholders And Effectively Communicate Security Protocols And Procedures To Personnel.
