
Government Information Specialist
The U.S. Department of the Treasury is seeking an experienced and motivated Government Information Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for the efficient and safe management of government information.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to the management of government information, such as the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
- Analyze existing information management systems and processes, and suggest improvements to increase efficiency.
- Design and create reports, presentations, and other materials to support the organization’s information management efforts.
- Assist in the maintenance and updating of records, databases, and other information management systems.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide training and support to staff on information management policies and procedures.
- Monitor the performance of information management initiatives and suggest any necessary changes.
- Respond to inquiries and provide guidance regarding information management policies and procedures.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of current government information management best practices and trends.
