
Facility Operations Specialist

- Oversee the daily operations of all facilities within the U.S. Department of the Treasury, including maintenance, repairs, and safety protocols.
- Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
- Monitor and maintain building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, to ensure proper functioning.
- Manage the scheduling and coordination of all facility maintenance and repair work, including working with outside contractors and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations related to building operations and safety.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify any potential issues and promptly address them.
- Maintain accurate records of all facility-related activities, including maintenance and repair work, budget expenditures, and safety inspections.
- Collaborate with other departments and team members to address any facility-related concerns or issues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure quality service and cost-effective solutions.
- Continuously seek out opportunities to improve facility operations and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Train and supervise facility staff, including janitorial and security personnel, to ensure proper procedures and protocols are followed.
- Oversee the procurement of necessary supplies and equipment for facility operations.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide timely and effective solutions.
- Collaborate with the Treasury’s sustainability team to implement environmentally friendly practices and initiatives within facilities.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices in facility management and make recommendations for their implementation within the department.
Bachelor's Degree In Facilities Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Facility Operations Management, Preferably In A Government Or Corporate Setting.
Knowledge Of Building Codes, Safety Regulations, And Environmental Compliance.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders.
Experience In Budget Management, Project Management, And Vendor Management.
