Job Description

The U.S. Department of the Treasury is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Currency Shipment Checker/Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of currency shipments, inspecting outgoing and incoming shipments, and processing documents related to the shipments. You will also be responsible for coordinating with other departments regarding the receipt and storage of currency shipments.The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent• Previous experience in a similar role• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• Strong communication and customer service skills• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities:

  1. Verify accuracy of currency shipments to ensure compliance with regulations.
  2. Inspect outgoing and incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  3. Process documents related to currency shipments, including bills of lading, manifests, and invoices.
  4. Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate receipt and storage of currency shipments.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all currency shipments.
  6. Remain informed of the latest developments in currency shipment regulations.
  7. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Adhere to safety regulations in the handling of currency shipments.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
