  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for taxpayers, providing assistance and guidance on various tax-related inquiries in both English and Spanish.

  8. Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex taxpayer inquiries and issues.
  9. Keep sensitive taxpayer information confidential and adhere to all privacy and security policies.
  10. Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures to enhance the overall taxpayer experience.
  11. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude at all times, promoting a positive image of the department.
  12. Meet or exceed performance metrics set by the department, such as call handling time and customer satisfaction ratings.
  13. Continuously expand knowledge and skills in order to provide the best service possible to taxpayers.
  14. Adhere to all departmental and federal regulations and policies.
  15. Maintain accurate records of all interactions with taxpayers and update relevant systems accordingly.
  16. Provide support and guidance to fellow team members as needed.
  17. Act as a brand ambassador for the department, promoting its mission and values.
  18. Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on new processes and procedures.
  19. Maintain a positive and professional relationship with colleagues, supervisors, and other departmental staff.
  20. Embrace and promote diversity and inclusivity within the department and in interactions with taxpayers.

Job Qualifications
  • Fluency In Spanish And English: The First And Most Important Qualification For A Contact Representative (Bilingual-Spanish) At The U.s. Department Of The Treasury Is Fluency In Both Spanish And English. This Includes The Ability To Read, Write, And Speak Fluently In Both Languages.

  • Customer Service Experience: As A Contact Representative, You Will Be Responsible For Interacting With A Diverse Group Of Customers. Therefore, Having Previous Customer Service Experience, Whether In Person Or Over The Phone, Is Essential For This Role.

  • Knowledge Of Treasury Programs And Services: A Thorough Understanding Of The Programs And Services Offered By The U.s. Department Of The Treasury Is Necessary For This Position. This Includes Knowledge Of Tax Laws, Financial Regulations, And Other Related Policies.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial For A Contact Representative, Especially When Dealing With Customers Who May Have Questions Or Concerns. Being Able To Communicate Clearly And Professionally In Both Spanish And English Is A Must For This Role.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Contact Representative, You Will Be Handling Sensitive Financial Information And Must Pay Close Attention To Detail. This Includes Accurately Inputting Data, Following Proper Procedures, And Identifying And Resolving Any Discrepancies.
