Job Description

The U.S. Department of the Treasury is seeking a highly motivated Computer Engineer (Data Systems) to join our talented team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about data systems engineering and can bring their expertise to our department. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing our data systems to ensure the highest performance and security. This individual will be responsible for providing technical advice and direction in the development of data systems.This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience with systems engineering, scripting, and coding is a must. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Additionally, we are looking for a candidate with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and implement data systems to ensure high performance and security.
  2. Provide technical advice and direction in the development of data systems.
  3. Utilize scripting and coding to ensure optimal functionality of the data systems.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with the data systems.
  5. Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure data systems are functioning properly.
  6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in data systems engineering.
  7. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
  8. Prepare and maintain all relevant documentation for data systems.
  9. Monitor system performance and make improvements as necessary.
  10. Develop and implement policies and procedures for data systems.
