Job Description

The U.S. Department of the Treasury is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Amended Budget Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for financial analysis and a proven track record of success in budget management and forecasting. We are looking for someone who can take initiative and work independently, while still being able to collaborate with the rest of the team.The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics; at least two years of experience in budget management and forecasting; strong analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to work independently and within a team. The Amended Budget Analyst will be expected to develop and manage budget proposals, review budget amendments, and analyze financial information. An aptitude for problem solving and the ability to think creatively will be greatly appreciated.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage budget proposals and budget amendments.
  2. Analyze financial information and prepare reports.
  3. Analyze and forecast financial data.
  4. Monitor and reconcile budget allocations.
  5. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
  6. Analyze trends and formulate recommendations for improvement.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure budget accuracy and compliance.
  8. Participate in budget meetings and provide guidance and support.
  9. Develop and maintain financial models.
  10. Prepare presentations and other related materials.
