  1. Oversee a team of workers' compensation specialists and ensure their adherence to department policies and procedures.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to efficiently and effectively administer workers' compensation programs.
  3. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines related to workers' compensation.
  4. Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement within the workers' compensation program.
  5. Provide guidance and support to team members, including training and professional development opportunities.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate efforts and promote best practices in workers' compensation.
  7. Manage the budget for the workers' compensation program and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  8. Conduct performance evaluations for team members and provide feedback for improvement.
  9. Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including injured workers, employers, and insurance providers, to address concerns and resolve issues.
  10. Stay current with changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations and communicate updates to team members.
  11. Lead by example and foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  12. Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and other events related to workers' compensation.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Human Resources, Occupational Health And Safety, Or Business Administration.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Workers' Compensation Claims Management, Preferably In A Supervisory Role.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Workers' Compensation, Including The Federal Employees' Compensation Act (Feca) And The Longshore And Harbor Workers' Compensation Act.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Strategies For Improving Workers' Compensation Processes And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Mentor Staff And Collaborate With Other Departments And Agencies.
