
Supervisory Contract Specialist
The U.S. Department of Labor is looking for an experienced Supervisory Contract Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for directing and managing the performance of a team of Contract Specialists as they work to ensure the department's contracts and agreements are completed in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of five years of progressive experience in contract management and supervision, excellent communication and leadership skills, and strong knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage the performance of a team of Contract Specialists to ensure completion of contracts and agreements in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and ensure team members are adhering to its regulations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Contract Specialists and ensure the team is meeting all deadlines.
- Monitor contract performance to ensure it meets requirements.
- Resolve issues that arise during the contract process.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
- Develop strategies to improve contract procedures and processes.
- Prepare and review contract documents and reports.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to contract management.
- Facilitate contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
